WALK-THROUGH DOORS (PRE-HUNG) PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Exterior Frame Construction

All lumber kiln dried to 8-12% moisture levels prior to assembly.
Surface materials offered are 4" v-groove, 4" beaded, or medium density overlay (MDO).
Framing rails and stiles shall be solid, non-finger jointed, 2 1/4 inch thick solid wood.
Stiles and top rail shall be 4 3/4 inch wide x 2 1/4 inches thick. The bottom rail shall be 8 1/2 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches thick.
Window muntins shall be permanently applied with elastomeric tape both exterior and interior.
Moldings shall be smooth and free of visible knife, saw or sanding marks when viewed at a distance of six feet.

Dimensional Tolerances

Pre-fit tolerances shall be: +/- 1/16 inch thickness, +/- 1/16 inch width and height, 1/16 inch squareness not to be more than 1/8 inch difference measured corner to corner.
Pre-fit clearances at top, hinge edges and door lock edge is 1/8 inch.
Warp is measured in accordance to industry standards.
Warp is any distortion in the door itself, and it does not refer to the door in relation to the frame or the jamb in which it is hung.
Placing a straight edge or a taut string on the concave face and determining the maximum distance from the string to the door face is a measure of warp.
3' 6" by 7' 0" or smaller shall have a 1/4 inch maximum deviation. Doors larger than 3' 6" by 7' 0" shall have a 1/4 inch maximum deviation in any 3' 6" by 7' 0" section.

Glazing

Simulated divided lites with either 1/8 inch tempered glass or insulated tempered glass.
One-piece glazing may be held in place by a channel, groove, or wood-glazing stop.
Glass windows are wet glazed. TDL is possible with engineering approval.

Hardware and Seals

No lock set hardware or machining for lock set hardware is provided.

Hinges supplied are temporary.
Door and jamb are mortised for 4 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 inches square corner template ball bearing hinges.
Three hinges required up to 7' high, four hinges required over 7'.
Recommend a minimum of #12 screws 1 1/2 inches in length.

Weather Stripping

Polyethylene clad urethane foam compression seal on jamb, polymer bottom door sweep, and thresholds are supplied with pre-hung doors.
